Uniform Resource Locator (URL): Also known as Uniform Resource Identifier (URI). It locates the accessible resource and the gadget for finding it. HyperText Markup Language (HTML): The elements contains tags, encased with angle brackets (like <html>). The tags usually come in pairs (e.g. <h2> or </h2>). The beginning is the 1st tag and the end is the 2nd tag, also known as the opening and closing tags. The function of a web browser is to interpret HTML documents and design them into imaged and sounding web pages. Web designers are able to include text and images. It enables images and objects to be embedded develop interactive forms.





JavaScript: Otherwise known as ECMAScript a prototype-based, object-oriented scripting language that is productive, weakly written and has superior purposes. JavaScript accommodates improved user interfaces and productive websites. It hosts an environment that allows programmatic access to computational objects. JavaScript has its usage in external applications. (E.g. PDF documents, desktop widgets, specific browsers). 



 

Applets: A small application that engages a particular duty that runs within a scope of a more complex program, frequently identified as a plug-in. 










Blogs: It is a combination of the word web log. It is a kind of website where it is maintained by an individual with constant updates of posts of things such as events, food, places, among others.Blogs may be personal, as in private, or open for the public to read. Most blogs are about an individual's every day life. Some of course, specializes in a certain category such as cars, make-up, food, drinks and places to visit. Usually the public may access the blog and also comment on the posts, video or photos. The blog posts are usually posts in the order that the latest post will be on top, and the older posts are at the bottom. A conventional blog contains texts, images and videos. Some, posts links to other sites where the readers can click the link to the website.




Wikipedia: It is a chargeless, unprofitable, multilingual, cooperative published document by global volunteers. It has 281 languages. Anyone who has access to the wikipedia throught the internet can alter its contents. It is a typical site for reference of anything. It is ranked the top 10 among all the websites on Alexa. Wikipedia has had 365 million readers.




















Plug-in: Plug-ins are add-ons to the computer software to boost the performance of the computer such as anti-virus, video player, and to view certain format of a data. Plug-ins customizes the software or applications in the computer. Plug-ins can be used to decrease the size of an application to save memory space. Plug-ins also aid in encoding, decoding, encrypting and decrypting data or new formats.










Filter: Filter is a program to process a data stream. Filter is mainly used in searches. Filter can be seen in many situations. Firstly, filter is used as a child lock. This is to prevent underage children from viewing obscene images, videos or sites such as pornography or horror genre. Secondly, a filter can be used to find a certain e-mail, image or video in the internet rather than scrolling through the net one by one. For example, go to a search website like http://www.google.com/ and type "phones", the list of site of phones will be listed.



Internet security: It is a type of safety taken to prevent intrusion from anyone from cyberspace. Certain important details and information such as bank accounts and credit card numbers can be leaked out into the internet if safety precautions are not taken.









Suite: A suite such as the Microsoft Office Suits 2010 is a compilation of the Microsoft softwares such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Micrisoft Publisher and Microsoft Project. This type of suite is compiled to allow a cheaper pricing of the software as buying the softwares individually will costs a bomb.
